The Frederick S. Upton Foundation Associate Board is inviting nonprofits in Berrien County to apply for its annual BIG IDEA Grant, with letters of intent due by April 1.

The Berrien Community Foundation, which administers the grants, says they support creative and innovative projects designed to make a significant and lasting impact on life in Berrien County.

Each year, the foundation awards one $50,000 grant and one $25,000 grant, with the possibility of additional smaller awards for other standout proposals. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, schools, religious organizations, and government entities. Proposed projects should demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and a clear plan for sustainability.

The BCF says after reviewing letters of intent, foundation trustees will invite selected organizations to submit full applications, with finalists presenting their proposals to the board in July.

More information about the BIG IDEA Grant can be found at the BCF’s website.
