1982 The late heavy-metal musician Ozzy Osborne bit the head off a bat during a concert in Des Moines, Iowa. The bat was thrown on stage by an audience member and Osbourne didn’t realize it was a real bat until after he bit the head off. In the process, the bat bit him and he had to be treated for rabies.
2009 Barack Obama was inaugurated 44th President of the United States. The first African American to lead the country.
