Set for this July 4 is the second annual Berrien Springs Pickle Festival. The village says it’s teaming up with the Berrien County Historical Association and the Berrien Springs Community Library for the event. The Pickle Festival was brought back to the community last year after a 16 year hiatus. Organizers say this year’s festival will be held at the History Center at Courthouse Square and the Berrien Springs Community Library on July 4 beginning at 11:00 a.m. It will see the return of Vendor Alley, the Pickle Fling, the Big Wheel races, old fashioned pickle games, the pickle decorating contest, and the Pickled Piper Tasting Room. New this year will be the Pickle Recipe Contest. There are also several Pickle Festival-related events leading up to July, including a preview weekend, a run and walk, and a scavenger hunt. You can stay on top of the latest at the Facebook page of the Berrien Springs Pickle Festival.
