Set for this Saturday and Sunday is the 59th annual Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff. Krasl Art Center Marketing Manager Matthew Bizoe tells us there will be hundreds of artists at Lake Bluff Park in downtown St. Joseph selling a wide array of artwork.
“We have over 15 different categories, including mixed media 2D and 3D,” Bizoe said. “We have clay, glass, metal, sculpture, woodworking. There’s just so much art from so many different categories.”
They had to cancel the art fair last year due to COVID-19. Bizoe says, thankfully, many of the safety precautions they had planned for this year are no longer needed, but there will be one difference from previous art fairs.
“One of the big changes is it’s a ticketed event this year. They are $5 per person each day. You can purchase them online and bring your ticket to our check-in station during the fair, or you can purchase them at the event.”
Another change is there are no parking shuttles this year as they didn’t have time to arrange for them. Just park downtown. Bizoe says the Krasl Art Fair attracts thousands of people to St. Joseph, and it’s a way for you to purchase handmade pieces you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. The Krasl Art Fair is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can get tickets right here.
