South Haven Area Emergency Services Director Brandon Hinz has been named the Region 5 Representative for the Michigan Association of Fire Chiefs.
SHAES says Hinz was selected for the position during the MAFC Leadership Symposium this month in Bay City. It brought together fire service leaders from across Michigan to collaborate on leadership development, emerging operational challenges, training strategies, department readiness, and the future of emergency response.
SHAES says that serving as a regional representative will provide Hinz an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among departments and advocate for regional needs. He says that SHAES is grateful for the opportunity.
Hinz joined SHAES in 1999 as a paid-on-call responder and has been full-time since 2005. He’s been executive director since 2020.
