A world of medieval mystery, high-flying acrobatics, and family-friendly comedy is coming to the Michigan Flywheelers Museum in South Haven.

Museum President Pat Ingalls tells us they’ll host the Kingdom of Wonders Medieval Circus on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31. The show will be free for all to attend.

It’s a circus,” Ingalls said. “There’s no animals, so it’s more like a Cirque du Soleil. And so there are performers that have a juggling and balancing act and stuff like that. And it’s set up with old medieval times.”

The Kingdom of Wonders is considered a theatrical “Renaissance Adventure” that ditches the traditional circus clowns and animals in favor of a narrative-driven experience. Ingalls says it’ll be free because the attraction relies on donations, concessions, and merchandise sales. It’s something new for the Flywheelers Museum.

We’ve hosted circuses before, but this is a different type of event.”

Ingalls says the 100-minute show will be held twice on each day that it’s in South Haven. The showtimes will be 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. each day.

Reservations should be ordered in advance online, and you can do so right here.
