The Rotary Club of St. Joseph-Benton Harbor will be celebrating Earth Day this Saturday by sprucing up a three-mile stretch of Lakeshore Drive in St. Joseph.

The Rotary says its volunteers will be out picking up trash as part of their annual Adopt-A-Highway roadside cleanup. Headed by Rotarian Paul Westmaas, the tradition aims to help transform our roadways as part of the Rotary’s ongoing commitment to improve the community.

The Rotary Club of St. Joseph-Benton Harbor sponsors the three-mile stretch of Lakeshore Drive from Maiden Lane to Cleveland Avenue. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at the SandBar restaurant on Red Arrow Highway and are expected to finish around 10:30 a.m.

Drivers in the area should take extra caution and give the Rotarians plenty of space.
