There’s a new candidate in the running for Berrien County Treasurer.
Margret Fife of Stevensville has announced her candidacy as a Republican. She’s a WIC dietician for the Berrien County Health Department and says she’s running for treasurer because she wants to ensure Berrien County residents have convenient and accurate service.
Fife says while checking taxes for a family member, she noticed on the treasurer’s website that the foreclosure date was listed as March 31, 2024 when it was actually April 1. Fife says she’ll ensure accurate information is always posted.
Fife has also committed to opening a treasurer’s office in southern Berrien County and to make herself available to residents after hours and on weekends.
Fife is a graduate of Coloma High School.
