The city of St. Joseph says the Lake Boulevard and Broad Street Resurfacing Project is scheduled to begin as early as April 1.
The construction will include Lake Boulevard from Hatch Street to Ship Street and Broad Street from Lake Boulevard to State Street. The work is being done to resurface the pavement and to replace sidewalk ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
The city tells affected residents access to driveways, on-street parking, and traffic maintenance will be a challenge during the project, so it asks everyone for patience.
A meeting will be held on March 19 at city hall for the public to talk with staff and ask questions. It will start at 6 p.m.
The project is expected to be finished in June.
