The Coloma Township Police Department on Wednesday reports they responded to a welfare check at 6282 Becht Rd in Coloma Township.
While enroute to the call, Berrien County 911 dispatchers informed Coloma Township Officers that a husband possibly shot his wife and then himself inside the house.
Coloma Township officers, along with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department and Michigan State Police, arrived on scene and located a 32 year old female with gunshot wounds and a 41 year old male that was deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
Medical workers arrived on scene and transported the female to a local hospital where she is listed in stable condition.
Coloma Township Police say there is no further information available and the names are being withheld until the investigation is complete.
