Thanksgiving dinner will cost less this year.

According to the Michigan Farm Bureau, the perfect holiday feast for 10 will cost about $61 this year, a 4.5% drop from last year.

Lead Economist Loren Koeman says last-minute sales might drop prices even lower.

“We’re seeing Thanksgiving is going to be very reasonable, just over $6 per person,” Koeman said. “We did our surveys in early November, before a lot of the Thanksgiving promotions have been on. So, I suspect people are going to be able to find even cheaper turkey than we did.”

Koeman says lower turkey prices are driving down most of the cost. However, the prices of stuffing mix, cranberries, pie crust, and whipped cream are also lower.
