The River Valley School District is planning a dedication ceremony for its new elementary school this month.

The district says the October 16 event will feature student performances and remarks from the school board and community partners.

River Valley Interim Superintendent Dave Campbell says the district is excited to have the entire “Mustang family learn and grow together on one campus, under one roof.”

The new elementary project also involved renovations at the middle and high school, new HVAC systems, and a new fire alarm system. The media center was relocated, and a new sound system was added to the gym.

The dedication will start at 6 p.m. on October 16 in the River Valley Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room in Three Oaks.

There will be tours of the new building from 5:30 to 6 p.m. ahead of the dedication.
