AAA of Michigan is activating its Tow to Go program for the Labor Day weekend. Spokesperson Adrienne Woodland tells us Tow to Go will offer a free tow to someone who has had alcohol and shouldn’t be driving. When someone calls, AAA dispatches a tow truck to transport the driver and their vehicle to a safe location within a ten mile radius.
“It’s the 25th year that the auto club has provided the Tow to Go program, and in that time period, Tow to Go has removed more than 25,000 impaired drivers from the roadways.”
Woodland says Two to Go should always be viewed as a last resort, and that those who plan to party should also plan for a ride home. Nevertheless, Two to Go will be available from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Tuesday. It can be reached by calling 855-2-TOW-2-GO.
