A motorcyclist is recovering after a crash in Cass County Saturday. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says the crash occurred around 4:10 p.m. on M-40 south of Dutch Settlement Road in Newberg Township. 57-year-old Drew Davis of Vicksburg was riding a motorcycle northbound on M-40 when he attempted to pass a northbound vehicle driven by 38-year-old Andrew Avara of South Bend and the two collided. Davis was taken by ambulance to Three Rivers Health for his injuries. Police do not believe alcohol as a factor in the crash.
