The Berrien County Health Department is changing its hours of operation starting August 14 through September 29. Health Officer Guy Miller says they going to be open from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday, but are cutting back from 8 am to 2:30 pm on Friday. Miller says that is due to having low visit numbers in recent years on Friday. The hours will also allow staff to offer more clinical services as late as 7 pm “during select weekday evenings to better accommodate the scheduling needs of many residents.”
The Berrien County Health Department hours have traditionally been 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. The temporary hours allow for an extra half hour every morning to serve residents.
