A Stevensville man remains in the Berrien County Jail after being arraigned this week on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of a Baroda woman over the weekend. Michigan State Police say 57-year-old Mary Mabry was sitting on her backyard patio Sunday afternoon when 60-year-old David Mabry stopped by. State police say “without any visible provocation, the suspect pulled a handgun from his pocket and shot the victim.” David Mabry fled the scene, but was picked up later by police. He was arraigned Monday on a charge of open murder and weapons offenses. Meanwhile, a GoFundMe to help pay for Mary Mabry’s arrangements has been launched.
