The Memorial Day weekend holiday is almost here with many people hitting the road or airways starting Thursday. Triple-A Michigan’s Adrienne Woodland says more than 1.2 million Michiganders will be traveling.
“One of the worst days for travel on the roadways will be Friday, May 26th between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.,” says Woodland. “That will be one of the busiest times on the roads. If you are planning to leave that day, maybe consider leaving before noon and beat some of that traffic.”
Woodland says domestic cruise bookings have jumped 50% since last year. She says other hot destinations are Orlando, New York City, Las Vegas, Rome, Paris, London, and Barcelona.
