More of us in Michigan will be traveling for Memorial Day weekend. AAA of Michigan’s Adrienne Woodland tells us the state is expecting one of the busiest holidays since they started keeping records.

“We’re expecting more than 1.2 million Michiganders to travel for Memorial Day weekend, and it’s more than 79,000 more than last year, but just shy of the pre-pandemic numbers that we saw in2018 and 2019.”

Woodland says 1.1 million Michigan residents will drive, 62,000 more than last year, while 66,000 are expected to fly. That figure is 7,000 more than last year.
