Police have identified the woman who went missing in the St. Joseph River near Berrien Springs on Sunday. The Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Department says 42-year-old Shirani Simpson of Berrien Springs remains missing and the search continues. She disappeared in the river on Sunday after diving in to help her struggling 8-year-old son. The boy was later found on an island in the river and is in good condition. Simpson has not yet been located.
