Six candidates have filed to run for St. Joseph City Commission this year. There will be three seats up for grabs, and since only six have filed, there won’t be a primary. The top three vote getters in November will be elected to the commission. According to the St. Joseph City Clerk’s office, those who have filed to run are incumbent Commissioner Brook Thomas, Michael Fernandez, James Christopher Lannert, Shawn Osburn, Tess Ulrey, and David Yardley. The top two vote getters in November will be elected to four year terms and the candidate with the third most votes will get a two year term.
