There are new developments in the Oxford High School shooting case. The Michigan Court of Appeals has ruled that there is enough evidence for the parents of Ethan Crumbly to stand trial on manslaughter charges. Attorneys for James and Jennifer Crumbley had appealed a decision from an Oakand County District Judge who said there was enough evidence for the Crumbleys to send the case to trial. In the ruling issued Thursday morning, the appeals courts judges say the Crumbleys were aware their son had been repeatedly experiencing significant episodes of hallucinations and extreme paranoia, but they purchased a handgun for him. Ethan Crumbley pleaded guilty to murdering four classmates last year. He’s scheduled to be sentenced in June.
