Have you planned your next vacation yet? Travel Michigan Vice President Dave Lorenz recommends planning a vacation in Michigan during this Plan Your Vacation Week.
“I think people have started to understand that we are a very diverse state,” Lorenz said. “Diversity of people, places, experiences, even seasons. So, we literally have everything right here in Michigan that every traveler would want to experience.”
Lorenz recommends visiting some of the lesser known destinations. That’s because he expects the popular destinations to be busy this summer. The U.S. Travel Association declares Plan Your Vacation Day each year to encourage everyone to plan their vacation days for the whole year at the start of the year. Lorenz says the travel industry in Michigan is experiencing a rebound, saying many would rather drive than fly right now.
