The snow plows will be out all over Michigan as a winter storm hits the state. In west and southwest Michigan, there’s a blizzard warning, something Alex Doty with the Ottawa County Road Commission is well aware of.

“That definitely is a cause for concern because you wonder how much more snow are we going to get and what will the conditions be like,” says Doty. “That being said, we want to assure residents that we will be out there and our trucks will be on the road taking care of the streets and roads that need to be plowed. It just might take some time for us to get through.”

Doty says they will clear state trunklines and other primary roads first, but that clearing all of the roads could take up to 48 hours.
