Waves that are 20-feet high are expected on four of the five Great Lakes due to the blizzard blasting the area. NOAA physical scientist Daniel Titze at their research laboratory in Ann Arbor says there is no ice to dampen the waves yet. He adds the forecast calls for waves around 15-feet on Lake Huron. Waves on Lake Erie will cause it to be below-normal for its water level and hazardous for vessels to navigate.
