People all over the US will celebrate our military veterans today. Michigan US Senator Gary Peters is a former Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy and a current member of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
“Generations of Michiganders and Americans have answered the call to serve our country,” says Peters. “Veterans Day is an opportunity to recognize this remarkable patriotism and selflessness and honor the dedication of our soldiers, sailors, Airmen and Marines.”
Peters says the US military is the strongest in the history of the world because of the efforts and dedication of veterans.
