The Powerball grand prize continues to grow as no one hit the jackpot in Saturday night’s drawing. The jackpot is now estimated at $1 billion for tonight’s drawing, and the cash value is over $497-million. If you did win the jackpot, what would you do with it? Jake Harris spokesman for the Michigan Lottery, says many winners want to help others.
“One of the things that we hear regularly, whether it’s someone who wins a $100,000 prize or a $100 million prize is people like to pay it forward, and they like to help others who have helped them,” Harris said. “That’s one of the fun things of working with folks who have won these big prizes, is hearing how they’re going to impact the lives of others with that money.”
There were two tickets sold for Saturday’s drawing that matched five numbers and are worth $1 million. They were sold in New Buffalo and Redford, in suburban Detroit.
