Michigan State Police are investigating two suspicious deaths in Cass County. Troopers out of the Niles post say the two deceased were found around 10:30 a.m. Sunday at a home in the 1100 block of Shady Shores Drive in Howard Township. First responders found a 46-year-old woman dead outside of the home with gunshot wounds. A 42-year-old man was found dead inside the home, also with gunshot wounds. The two were later identified as husband and wife. Neighbors reported hearing several gunshots from the property on Saturday around 9 p.m. State police say the deaths are an isolated incident and there are no known suspects at large. They say there is no danger to the community. Anyone with information on the deaths is asked to contact Michigan State Police.
