Police seek help to find missing man with dementia

Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find an elderly man who went missing Wednesday.

The Michigan State Police issued an Endangered Missing Advisory for Thomas Francis Kelley, an 81-year-old Portage resident with dementia. Kelley was last seen leaving a café near 8675 Portage Road in Portage at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday. He has not returned home since that time.

Kelley was driving a red 2000 Chevrolet Corvette with a white top and white stripes. The vehicle had a personalized license place that reads “US17,” and also has a Masonic logo on it. He was wearing a white and black button down shirt, black dress pants and black dress shoes.

Kelley is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 250 pounds, according to the advisory. He has a scar on his forehead from a recent fall. Mr. Kelley was recently diagnosed with dementia. Information on his whereabouts is unknown.
