Leaders at Lakeshore Public Schools are considering the pursuit of a capital improvement bond, and the public is being asked to weigh in. Speaking at a meeting this week, Superintendent Greg Eding said the discussions have been underway for a while.

“We had three community forums that we completed and got some great feedback from the community,” Eding said. “Most of that feedback was in terms of needs versus wants, which was great to hear.”

Eding says three areas of need have been identified. They are energy efficiency, modernization improvements, and educational program enhancements. A survey has been launched for residents so the district can learn what people would support.

“Once that survey is completed, after two weeks are up, Perspectives Consulting will provide us with a full report that we’ll publish for the full community. They’ll actually come to a board meeting and do a full report for us here.”

Eding said the survey launched Monday. It’ll be online for two weeks. We have a link to it at our website. You can find the survey here.
