Marcellus man arrested on felony firearm, drug charges

A Cass County man is lodged in jail on multiple gun- and drug-related charges.

The Southwest Enforcement Team announced Friday that a 33-year-old Marcellus man was arrested this week at a residence in the 16000 block of Marcellus Highway in Volinia Township, near Marcellus.  The search warrant was secured following a coordinated traffic stop where illegal drug activity was discovered, resulting in the detainment of two subjects.

During the search warrant, the man was arrested on multiple counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one count of delivery of a schedule II drug, one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying concealed weapon in a motor vehicle, maintaining a drug house, and tampering with evidence.  Charges will be ultimately sought on the second subject.
