The North American International Auto Show comes at a time when sales are down, not because of lack of demand, but because of lack of supply. LMC Automotive analyst Jeff Schuster says that could cause issues for somebody who spots a vehicle that they are really interested in purchasing.
“You can look at them here, but don’t plan on being able to look at them at a dealer lot because they’re probably not going to be there. So, it’s still a very challenging environment for just the sheer number of vehicles being assembled versus where demand is.”
Schuster says if you find a vehicle you want at the auto show, there’s a good chance you will have to order it, and wait for it to be delivered to your dealership.
