Drivers are once again paying less than $5 a gallon for gasoline on average in the state. Triple-A Michigan says the average price in the state is down 11¢ in the past week to $4.94 a gallon, which is up 8¢ since last month and $1.74 higher than last year.
Benton Harbor’s $4.80 is the lowest price in Michigan, while Ann Arbor has the highest price at $5.07. A 15-gallon tank of gas remains higher than $74.
