The clerk who was working at the Marathon gas station in Hartford Wednesday when a 12-year-old boy pulled a gun and demanded money says it happened quickly. She only wanted to be identified as Jessica.
“That’s the same age as my youngest. It’s sad,” Jessica said. “Parents just aren’t doing their jobs.”
When he fired a shot into the ceiling, she quickly gave him cash and told him to leave. He was caught a short time later and is in the Allegan County juvenile home.
