A South Bend man is hospitalized after losing control of his vehicle in Calvin Township Wednesday afternoon and hitting a power pole. 23-year-old Isaiah Nicks was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital after the crash while his passenger, 22-year-old Alexis Taylor declined treatment. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says both were buckled up and were not on drugs or drinking alcohol. Deputies do say speed appears to have been a factor.
