Michigan Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow says the Senate is set to vote on legislation protecting a woman’s right to abortion. That comes in light of the leaked Supreme Court opinion that would overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade opinion. Stabenow spoke with Michigan News Network.

“We will have a vote next week in the Senate to basically protect a woman’s right to make her own reproductive decisions, including a safe and legal abortion, and we will have almost all of the Senate Democrats do that, but art this point, I don’t think we will have any Republican senators.”

Stabenow says the Senate would need 60 votes to end a filibuster on the abortion bill, and they don’t have those votes right now. The legislation has already passed the House.
