A donation of $23,000 has been made to the Avenue Family Network by the Avenue Family Network Auxiliary for a playground at the Cora Lamping Center for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence. Contributions were made by Auxiliary members and supporters. The group also participated in hands-on projects for AFN, like making children’s blankets. It says throughout this year, all fundraising events will be in person. The Avenue Family Network Auxiliary invited everyone to come out to its 54th Ice Cream Social during the Krasl Art Fair on July 10 on the veranda of the Whitcomb. It will also host its second Sandy Landis Memorial Spaghetti Dinner on October 20 at the First Congregational Church in St. Joseph.
