Registrations are now being taken for this year’s Run, Walk, and Rock for Lory’s Place. Lory’s Place is the grief healing and education center of Caring Circle. Lory’s Place Director Stephanie Kohler-Pagan tells WSJM News the center has supported more than 48,000 children and adults after the death of a loved one.

“Creating a safe space for people to come together,” Kohler-Pagan said. “They can talk about, learn more about their grief, receive some good resources. But essentially, it’s really people who really understand, as close as possible, what they’re going through.”

Each year, a run and walk is held in St. Joseph to raise funds to help it with its mission. Kohler-Pagan says the run and walk will take place on Saturday, May 21. It’s a run, walk, and rock.

“The rock part of the event is actual rocking chairs that line the start and finish line, and those rocking chairs are really  special because people can sponsor those chairs and create signs in memory or in honor of someone.”

Kohler-Pagan says the event will take runners and walkers through St. Joseph’s Edgewater area, along Ridgeway Street, and into Tiscornia Park. You can register for the event right here.
