Indiana Michigan Power is sending more than 125 employees and contractors to AEP Ohio to assist with restoration of power.

Crews from various portions of I&M’s service territory are on their way to Columbus, Ohio, where they will meet and be directed to specific locations in the state.

The winter storm that swept through I&M’s service territory earlier this week dropped significant snowfall throughout much of Indiana and southwest Michigan but did not cause significant disruptions of power. In contrast, the ice storm that struck parts of Ohio was more damaging, causing widespread power outages.

I&M crews will remain in Ohio as long as needed to help restore power.
