Forty-three-year-old David Lain of Kalamazoo Township is being held without bond in the Kalamazoo County Jail after being arraigned on an open murder charge. Police accuse him of stabbing and killing his 37-year-old wife, Melissa, on Sunday before he fled to Berrien County. Lain was charged yesterday. Their three children are being cared for by relatives.
