The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating after two people were found dead in Benton Harbor on Friday. It says officers were called to the 700 block of Buss Street on a report of gunfire around 3:30 p.m. They found a 37-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man dead in a vehicle. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. Police are looking for a person of interest, and he has been identified as Dwand Dontrell Carter. The names of the victims are not being released at the request of family.
