Two threats against Upton Middle School are under investigation by Lincoln Township police and St. Joseph Public Schools. Superintendent Jenny Fee says one threat was written on a wall, while the other was spoken to someone. She says both have been resolved and school is not being closed. Fee adds she appreciates students and parents taking safety seriously, adding the threats were reported because of conversations being had at home. She says after the November 30 shooting at Oxford High School in Oakland County, “several false and non-credible threats have been made by students in districts throughout Berrien County and statewide, some of which have led to school closures.” All threats will be given to the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office.
