A 17-year-old Oronoko Township resident is facing charges after a shooting on Monday. The Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police Department says officers were called to a home around 11:50 a.m. on a report of a man with a gunshot wound. They found the 17-year-old male suspect and a 56-year-old man shot once in the chest. The suspect was taken to the Berrien County Juvenile Center on a charge of assault with intent to commit murder. His name has not been released. The victim remains in serious but stable condition.
