The city of Buchanan has a new clerk. Kalla Langston comes to the role after four years as a deputy clerk at Lincoln Township, where she became an accredited election official. The city says Langston has expertise on running elections and maintaining voter rolls, while she says she’s passionate about voter education and keeping the public informed and up-to-date. Langston also has experience with cemetery management and record maintenance for burials. The city of Buchanan says the clerk serves as a dedicated clerk to the city commission, and is responsible for overseeing all elections and voter registration in the city as well as managing cemetery deeds and records of burial.
