The water outage continues in Benton Harbor. The city manager’s office says it’s due to a break in a major line off Klock Road. It also says due to a drop in pressure, bacteria may enter the system and safety cannot be ensured. Residents are advised to continue using only bottled water. Repairs to the broken water line are underway. Once service is restored, residents are told to flush their lines and avoid drinking the water. After service is restored, the city will notify residents when tests show the water is safe.
