The Veggie Van will be making a stop in Bridgman this month. Spectrum Health Lakeland says the mobile farmers market will be available from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19 at Southwestern Medical Clinic on Red Arrow Highway. The Veggie Van provides locally grown fruits and vegetables to residents free of charge. It makes stops all over southwest Michigan. The Bridgman event will be drive through style, and a total of 100 bags will be given away. The goal of the program is to ensure fruits and vegetables are available to people who otherwise have limited access to fresh produce. The Veggie Van is supported by Spectrum Health and the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids in partnership with Spectrum Health Lakeland and the YMCA of Greater Michiana.
