Lazy Ballerina Wins $50,000 Advertising Award

An award of $50,000 has been given to Lazy Ballerina Winery in St. Joseph. The winery is the winner of the Big Fish Grand Prize Award in the Small Fish, Big Pitch competition hosted by Cornerstone Alliance and Holt Bosse. It will get $50,000 in advertising services from Holt Bosse as a result. Lauren Kniebes, co-owner, plans to revamp their website, create online advertising, focus on brand consistency, and create other content for future marketing. Lazy Ballerina is Berrien County’s only women-owned winery. Cornerstone also says the Small Fish second place award of $30,000 in marketing funds with Holt Bosse was awarded to Lauren Velasco, owner of I Heart Spanish. Her company teaches Spanish to children at local elementary schools through music, games, and fun. The People’s Choice Award of $20,000 went to Rachel Leins, owner of 42N Naturals LLC. Based in South Haven, Lien’s company handcrafts plant-based skincare products.
