Police Investigate Sunday Shooting In Benton Harbor

The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety is investigating a Sunday shooting incident. It says officers were called to the 300 block of Lake Street around 7:30 p.m. for a gunfire complaint. They arrived to find more than 40 rounds had been fired from various weapons. Officers found at least two homes had been hit. A witness recorded the shootings and the video showed the suspects running back to cars and leaving. The vehicles are identified as a White Jeep Cherokee, a Black Kia Sedona, and Grey Ford Focus. The Jeep and Kia are still outstanding and the Focus was located and is being processed by crime scene techs. The suspects and motives are still being sought, and police ask anyone with information to contact them. They have not said anyone was injured.
