The Michigan Career and Technical Institute graduated 207 students during the 2020-2021 school year. The school hosted a student recognition and graduation ceremony at its campus in Barry County on Tuesday to honor 64 graduating students from the summer school term. The MCTI provides training programs to Michiganders with disabilities so they have the credentials they need to find employment and independence. Among the programs at the MCTI are machine technology, retail marketing, nursing assistance, automotive technology, and construction. From southwest Michigan, there was one graduate recognized this week, Cass County’s Kaylee Morse, who studied to be a certified nursing assistant. The MCTI was founded in 1944 and is supported by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and Michigan Rehabilitation Services.
