A construction worker has died in a crash on I-94 in Paw Paw Friday night. Michigan State Police say a westbound semi hit the worker’s crane as bridge work was being done over the highway on County Road 653. The worker tried to jump from the crane, but was hit and killed. The semi driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Kalamazoo’s Bronson Hospital. The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. and the highway was closed in both directions until about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. No names have been released.
