The U.S. House Problem Solvers Caucus has introduced a resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party on its 100 year anniversary. Congressman Fred Upton tells WSJM News the resolution takes the party to task for international aggression.

“In new news earlier this week where China is sabre rattling again with Taiwan and even threatening to use nuclear force against Japan if they stand in the way, this has not been a terribly friendly country here in the last number of months,” Upton said. “So the resolution that I cosponsored, which is bipartisan, condemns some of the actions which the Chinese government has taken.”

The resolution says the Chinese Communist Party has subjugated the Chinese people to one-party rule, silenced political dissidents, and committed human rights abuses against minority populations — most notably the Uyghur Muslims. Upton says he believes it could be approved by the House in September.
